Murphy Statement on Small Business Administration Disaster Declaration

Washington, D.C. – Congressman Greg Murphy, M.D. (NC-03) released the following statement in response to the Small Business Administration's (SBA) disaster declaration for several North Carolina counties. In the Third Congressional District, primary counties include Carteret, Dare and Hyde and contiguous counties include Beaufort, Craven, Currituck, Jones, Onslow, Pamlico and Tyrrell.

"I am pleased the SBA granted North Carolina's disaster request in the aftermath of Hurricane Dorian," said Murphy. "As a result, individuals and small businesses will be eligible to apply for low-interest loans to rebuild from this natural disaster. I will continue to work with Governor Cooper, Senators Burr and Tillis and the rest of my colleagues in Congress until our communities in Eastern North Carolina have recovered."
