Murphy Appointed to Doctor and Patient Relationship Subcommittee
Washington, D.C. – Today, Congressman Greg Murphy, M.D. (NC-03), a member of the Healthy Future Task Force, announced his appointment to the Doctor and Patient Relationship Subcommittee. The subcommittee, chaired by Rep. Larry Bucshon, M.D. (IN-08) will focus on creating patient-oriented solutions to personalize health care options and maximize consumer choice for American families.
“As a physician of over 30 years, I have had the great honor of serving patients of all ages and demographics in 12 different countries,” said Murphy. “I am proud to be the only actively practicing physician in Congress; a distinction which has given me the unique opportunity to maintain one-on-one patient care while advocating for meaningful health care policy at the federal level.”
“As a doctor and a legislator, I am deeply committed to ensuring that all Americans have access to a wide range of health care choices that maximize health care outcomes and give patients peace of mind when making medical decisions. I look forward to bringing my decades of medical experience to the Doctor and Patient Relationship Subcommittee where I will work tirelessly to build a robust solution-based health care agenda for the American people.”
