November 24, 2020

Havelock, N.C. – On Tuesday, November 24, 2020, the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) awarded the town of Havelock $1,755,560.55 to repair damage on Woodhaven Drive that occurred as a direct result of Hurricane Florence.

Congressman Greg Murphy, M.D. (NC-03) released the following statement:

"Eastern North Carolinians are all too familiar with the major destruction hurricanes can create. Hurricane Florence was no exception, causing billions of dollars' worth of damage that we are still dealing with two years later. We have been working with FEMA to get relief to the municipalities that qualify in the district. It is a long and arduous process. I want to thank FEMA for providing this funding that will help residents in Havelock," said Murphy.
